Description:
Shifting Places: a poetry workshop inspired by bird migration. Participants will explore the experience of changing spaces, homes and environments through the lens of bird migration. We will read poems about birds, then write poems inspired by our reading and discussion. At the close of the session, participants may opt to share their work with the group.

Bio: 
Nancy Hoy Nott taught Language Arts to high school and college students in the Kalamazoo area for over 40 years. Currently, she facilitates writing workshops and continues to explore writing her own poetry as well. When she isn’t at her writing desk, she enjoys outdoor activities in every season, outings with family and friends, and travel.
