Air Poetry 2022
The Kalamazoo Poetry Festival presents Air Poetry, a poetry reading featuring Denise Miller, and Vidal Wilger, with music by Benna. The reading takes place on November 12, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at the First Congregational Church in downtown Kalamazoo. There will be light refreshments at the midway point, and an open mic after the performances. Air Poetry is a Kalamazoo Poetry Festival sponsored event leading up to the tenth anniversary festival in April 2023.
The Poets
Denise Miller
An Ohio born and Michigan raised poet, professor and activist who believes that it is the poet’s job to tell the truth. Their publication awards and nominations include a 2018 Pushcart Prize nomination for “It”, a 2016 Pushcart Prize nominee for Dear Spectators, and a 2016 Rattle Chapbook Award prize winner for Ligatures and 2019 Saturnalia Book Prize semi-finalist.
